The trees look different; the green leaves seem faded

By the end of the month, their colors start to appear, first on the outside, then working their way in.

The mornings are dark when I wake up, and the crickets continue chirping into late morning

The skies turn bright blue as the summer smog fades away, and the clouds are giant and puffy.
It’s windier now, which makes the big clouds move quickly across the sky.

As the humidity fades there is a crispness in the air.

September is here

  1. I LOVE this post. The simple yet stunning photos and your writing. The puffy clouds and dark mornings are so relatable. What you wrote about the colors “working their way in” is so perfect.

  2. The first signs of the leaves starting to change have started up here too. There's some gorgeous yellow leaves on a tree in my front garden but i'm too short to get a photograph of them haha.

  3. I was smiling the whole way down- I love that you captured these images and walked us through the subtle changes. It's hard to notice but it's there- and one day we'll wake up and the whole world will be orange and yellow 🙂
