Our backyard has changed quite a bit this year..
When we got our new shed, we knew it was time to say goodbye to this rusty old guy. We found someone on Craigslist who was looking for scrap metal, and when he saw the metal shed, he said he was going to try and use it as a duck house! What fun!
Then we were left with this empty concrete slab, and thought it seemed like the perfect place for a pergola. We thought about building one ourselves, but then Lowe’s was having a great sale and we couldn’t pass this one up for 100 dollars off!
I’ve had fun planting all kinds of flowers around and training vines to grow up it.
I even made a few container gardens which I haven’t really done before, it was so fun! But I can’t stand to watch them die this winter so now I’m gonna have to try to find places for them in my house. -_-
We made this little flower pot fountain, and helped ourselves to a few plants out of my mom’s pond.
I love those giant elephant ear plants! Â I really hope they survive the winter.
I am also loving our new fence. Now I don’t have to worry about anybody looking at me when I go outside!
Oh my goodness, it looks amazing!

Absolutely lovely!! I love all the plants. Looks so much cozier than before 🙂
Wow puts my garden to shame – love all your hanging baskets!
Wow! This seems like the most beautiful place to hang out on a warm Summer evening ever! I would LOVE to have a backyard. We live in a apartment and we do not even have a balcony. This needs to change soon! But since we are more into “doing what we love” than “earing money” I think it will take some time before I will have my own backyard…

Oh wow, you did such a great job of making this place beautiful! I can really imagine how relaxing it must be there, especially with the nice fountain sounds…

It looks so beautiful and tranquil, you did such a wonderful job decorating!
Awesome job! Gosh that shed was tha bomb, so beautiful. But the new little places really does look perfect. I love how you're making it your own with all the vines and such, looks like such a wonderful little space.
I love it! I sometimes wish we had a garden for things like this, but I don't think we'd actually have anything like this and it would just be a boring garden haha. Also, I have terrible plant and gardening skills!
Amazing post dear!

Thank you!
Thanks! We were a bit sad to see the shed go, but we're happy to make more use of that spot now!
Thanks! Believe me there's plenty of trial and error that comes with gardening!
Thank you!!

Thank you 😀
Thanks!!
Thank you!
It looks so good back there now. The change is quite remarkable when you show before and after. From boring normal backyard snooze to relaxing zen garden oasis. Job well done! You've really utilized so much of this nice patch of land you own. And just think about how every year there's more improvements
